Those studying part-time in England in the 2015/16 academic year can now apply for a Tuition Fee Loan. This loan isn’t based on household income and there is no upper age limit to apply.
If the student is starting a part-time course at university or college in academic year 2015/16, or if they started a part-time course on or after the 1st September 2012, they can now apply for funding at www.gov.uk/studentfinance
To apply for the student finance, they don't need a confirmed place at university or college. They should apply using their preferred choice of course and this can be changed at a later date if needed, by filling in a Change of Circumstance form, available at www.gov.uk/studentfinance
Continuing students, who started their course before 1 September 2012, and are applying for a Fee Grant and Course Grant will be able to re-apply for student finance from end June 2015.
