Official Statistics (including National Statistics)
Some of these statistics are currently National Statistics.
The SLC publishes one statistical series for Student Support
awards (loan rates, loan take up, grants awarded, etc) on an
academic year basis. The series for England has been assessed by
the UK Statistics Authority and has been designated as National
Statistics. The next publication is in November 2013.
The SLC publishes one statistical series for Student Loans debt
and repayment on a financial year basis. The series for England and
Scotland have been assessed by the UK Statistics Authority and have
been designated as National Statistics. The next publication is on
25 June 2013.
The statistical series for Student Support awards (loan rates,

Wales and Northern Ireland have not been assessed by the UK
Statistics Authority and, therefore, do not carry the designation
of National Statistics. The next publications are in November

In 2009 the SLC started an Official Statistics series for Income
Contingent Loan repayments by repayment cohort. The next
publications are on 25 June 2013.
In 2009 the SLC started an Official Statistics series for
Student Finance England application processing for the academic
year.

Code of Practice for Official Statistics
The SLC adheres to the
Code of Practice for Statistics as published by the UK
Statistics Authority.
As part of that code SLC publishes a set of documents.
