SARs are governed by UK data protection legislation and we will respond to you within one month of either:

  • our receipt of your written request: or
  • our receipt of any further information that we needed to obtain in order to complete your request

We will send you this information by secure email, to make sure only you can access it and it will be searchable, so you can find the information you requested. You can also ask for the information to be sent by post, but it may take longer to reach you. Please make sure your personal information is up to date on your online account as this will ensure that your SAR is sent to the correct email or postal address.

In certain circumstances, the requester has the right to receive their information verbally, If you require a reasonable adjustment to be made, then please contact either Student Finance England or Student Finance Wales.
